More Video Tutorials Here youtube.jimmyr.com Download Audacity audacity.sourceforge.net To save as mp3 you need to have lame mp3 encoder installed audacity.sourceforge.net This works with stereo tracks that have the vocals centered, when inverting a track, the waveforms cancel but it may grab more than vocals in some cases. Below are more alternatives. Save to one track at the end. Reduce the audio volume with amplify to make the softest parts disappear then increase it again. This will remove the vocals completely so quit whining about the “reduction”. is there a way to remove parts of vocals? I dont want to “remove” them completely from the song, just parts.

Omkeren, maar het werkt bij mij niet

I tried this on songs that had quiet vocals to begin with, it didn’t remove them. Works best if you actually invert both L & R tracks, (video doesn’t mention). I’ve been using Audacity for years & it’s the quickest & easiest editing tool for cut & paste on live recordings. Of course the better the recording the better the results. ‘Name brands” don’t even have the vocal remove thing down yet. Audacity is user friendly and my most used program. Thx for showing me what “invert” does tho.

Highlight the part you wanna remove. That’s all

Removing vocals from a track where it’s embedded into the track is simply impossible.
The only thing this program does as far as I can see is lower the volume of the frequencies where the vocals happen to be.

After I convert right and left to Mono as per the video, everything gets a distorted swirly sound. Does this happen to anyone else and is there anything that can be done to stop it happening?
February 13th, 2010 at 12:12 PM
Inverting both tracks absolutely does NOT work for removing vocals. Unless you didn’t describe what you’re talking about correctly and you’re actually using some other method, you’re completely wrong.

um..just asking if anyone knows..after removing the vocal, are there any other ways to improvise the instrumental part, to amplify the piano part of a song (because i needed it to perform a song), or to lower the levels of other instruments such as (the drums and guitars)?
Also if there are ways to turn down the background vocal (especially at the chorus)?
Cheers
